You don\u2019t get to \u201ctry again\u201d after a fiduciary breach, a failed compliance test, or a DOL investigation. You get one shot to get it right.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve seen too many plan providers treat their work like rehearsal\u2014assuming someone else will fix the missed deadlines, clean up the sloppy plan document, or explain the mistake to the client. That\u2019s not professionalism; that\u2019s passing the buck.<\/p>\n<p>Being a plan provider means owning your work like it\u2019s going to be audited tomorrow\u2014because someday, it will be. Every signature, every disclosure, every vendor selection matters. When you operate like your reputation depends on it, it usually doesn\u2019t get questioned.<\/p>\n<p>Whether you\u2019re a TPA, advisor, or ERISA attorney, your clients remember when you got it right the first time\u2014and they never forget when you didn\u2019t. The fiduciary world doesn\u2019t reward perfection, but it punishes carelessness.<\/p>\n<p>So don\u2019t treat your work like a draft. You get one shot.
