You think you\u2019re getting $100 million in assets, and suddenly it\u2019s $3.42 and a stick of gum. It\u2019s like buying oceanfront property in Nebraska \u2014 looks great on paper.<\/p>\n
Now, is there an opportunity here? Sure, yeah. In theory. But the math has to work. You need enough assets to make it worth anyone\u2019s while. Otherwise, you\u2019re just stealing from your own single-employer plan business to prop up a shiny new PEP. That\u2019s not growth \u2014 that\u2019s just cannibalism in a suit.<\/p>\n
The real value in these things? Outsourcing fiduciary duties. That\u2019s the pitch. Not the pricing. Let\u2019s be honest \u2014 most PEPs aren\u2019t saving anyone real money. Maybe a few bucks, a couple slices of pizza. That\u2019s not a game-changer. That\u2019s lunch.<\/p>\n
