{"id":7373,"date":"2024-05-15T08:54:44","date_gmt":"2024-05-15T12:54:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/therosenbaumlawfirm.com\/blog\/?p=7373"},"modified":"2024-05-15T08:54:44","modified_gmt":"2024-05-15T12:54:44","slug":"dol-wants-help-on-retirement-plan-lost-and-found","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/therosenbaumlawfirm.com\/blog\/?p=7373","title":{"rendered":"DOL wants help on retirement plan lost and found"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Labor (DOL) issued a proposed information collection request (ICR) to help implement a lost-and-found database to assist former plan participants with locating missing retirement accounts.<\/p>\n<p>Section 303 of the SECURE 2.0 Act of 2022 requires the DOL to create an online searchable database, to be known as the Retirement Savings Lost and Found within 2 years.<\/p>\n<p>The DOL says that it initially had planned to use data that plan administrators submitted to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) on Form 8955-SSA.
