{"id":4080,"date":"2019-06-06T18:47:41","date_gmt":"2019-06-06T22:47:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/therosenbaumlawfirm.com\/blog\/?p=4080"},"modified":"2019-06-06T18:48:00","modified_gmt":"2019-06-06T22:48:00","slug":"plan-design-is-a-big-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/therosenbaumlawfirm.com\/blog\/?p=4080","title":{"rendered":"Plan Design is a big deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"s2\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Chess is not a game that I ever played a lot or was ever good at it, but it\u2019s a fascinating game because every move can change the course of the game.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s2\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">I see sometimes plan design as similar to the game of chess because a good approach to it could increase the retirement savings and tax deductions for employers and individuals.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s2\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">I\u2019m still amazed at how many financial advisors, attorneys, and accountants, give short shrift to plan design, a third party administrator (TPA) is more important than just being a price point. They\u2019re not a commodity, they are a service provider that can help employers say hundreds of thousands of dollars and even millions down the road by implementing a plan design or augmenting with a cash balance or defined benefit plan to help plan sponsors and participants to maximize retirement savings, which maximizes tax deductions.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s2\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Plan design is a big deal and hiring a good TPA that can do the job.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"sharedaddy sd-sharing-enabled\"><\/div>\n<p><span class='st_sharethis' st_title='{title}' st_url='{url}' displayText='ShareThis'><\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chess is not a game that I ever played a lot or was ever good at it, but it\u2019s a fascinating game because every move can change the course of the game.
