{"id":1971,"date":"2014-10-16T08:47:56","date_gmt":"2014-10-16T12:47:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/therosenbaumlawfirm.com\/blog\/?p=1971"},"modified":"2014-10-16T08:48:35","modified_gmt":"2014-10-16T12:48:35","slug":"plan-sponsor-should-replace-the-bad-bad-plan-decision-makers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/therosenbaumlawfirm.com\/blog\/?p=1971","title":{"rendered":"Plan sponsors should replace the bad Bad Plan Decision Makers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If your company\u2019s retirement plan got into some trouble because the powers that be who run the plan (whether it\u2019s the C.E.O., human resources director, or retirement plan committee) took their eye off the plan, it may be a time to replace them especially if they haven\u2019t learned from their mistakes.<\/p>\n<p>They often say that people can\u2019t change, but I believe that people can change if they learn from their mistakes. If their arrogance doesn\u2019t let them learn from their mistakes, then they will never change and they will consistently make the wrong choices. Sounds like most of my family.<\/p>\n<p>A retirement plan that had major compliance issues will have them again if the powers that be that didn\u2019t learn from their ways will make consistent poor plan provider selections. It\u2019s my opinion is that these powers that keep on making bad choices should step aside and let the people who can make the right choices take their spots. It\u2019s hard for people with large egos to do such a thing because their egos won\u2019t let them understand that what they have been doing all along is wrong. Sounds like my friends on the school board where I live.
