{"id":1449,"date":"2013-06-25T07:03:15","date_gmt":"2013-06-25T11:03:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/therosenbaumlawfirm.com\/blog\/?p=1449"},"modified":"2013-06-25T07:03:15","modified_gmt":"2013-06-25T11:03:15","slug":"about-that-316-service","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/therosenbaumlawfirm.com\/blog\/?p=1449","title":{"rendered":"About that 3(16) Service"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As you may be aware, I helped <a href=\"http:\/\/www.401khelpcenter.com\/press_2013\/pr_rosenbaum_062013.html#.Ucl4RrSn4-0\" target=\"_blank\">start<\/a> a separate ERISA \u00a73(16) fiduciary service and the reason I did was because I thought there was a need for a 3(16) administration service that was not connected to any third party administrator (TPA) and give plan sponsors the choice to hire a separate fiduciary who was not tied to any TPA especially if that plan sponsor\u2019s TPA didn\u2019t offer that service.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, it allows the TPA who have no interest in offering the service on their own to refer work to someone who isn\u2019t a competitor for their own TPA services.<\/p>\n<p>So the 3(16) service is completely separate from my law practice and will eventually be staffed with its own personnel.
