The numbers of employers allowing Roth 401(k) savings have dramatically increased.<\/p>\n
The percentage of 401(k) plans to offer the option grew to 86% in 2020, up from 75% in 2019 and 49% a decade ago, according to the Plan Sponsor Council of America, a trade group.<\/p>\n
There was never a reason as to why a plan sponsor wouldn\u2019t offer one since it didn\u2019t impact testing. I think time, education, and the general feeling that tax rates will increase over time, have helped the surge of interest in adding them.<\/p>\n
